Tau Cross hand carved in old growth cherry with cutout Corpus

This piece is hand carved in old growth cherry wood harvested in the 1950s or earlier. Each piece is finished with food grade mineral oil and provided with an adjustable black lanyard. This style of cross is commonly used by Franciscans and in veneration of St. Anthony of Egypt, usually observed in the Orthodox tradition. The Corpus (Body of Christ) is hand cut out of the solid Tau cross.
