Vintage Teresa Eaton Hand-Woven Art-Wear Vest. Richly colored: Black, Plum, Purple, and Grey, with a dash of metallic copper thread throughout. Hand-dyed and hand-loomed. No fabric content label. She has woven semi-precious gemstones like Tiger-Eye on the front lapel and layered pleats on the shoulder. Big pockets on the front. It measures approximately 30" long from collar to hem and 20" from pit to pit when held closed but is made to wear hanging open. Teresa Eaton was a sought-after designer and weaver in the 80's and 90's. She was in art shows, galleries, and boutiques across the United States. Her designs are known for their hand-dyed colors, careful details, and quality weaving. She stopped weaving to undertake other pursuits in 2000 and sadly passed away in 2007. This is a remarkable weaving - such a piece of art!
