Terra Cotta Italian Trinket Bowl

A classic design, this piece has a field of antique bone white, quite warm, covered in painting that has a country renaissance feel with swoops, swirls and a flower on the lid. Overall it feels quite organic and uniquely hand made, vintage without being fusty- just the right thing for a little spot of airy warmth in a home. Big enough to serve a multitude of functions, from the kitchen to the bathroom. The bowl and lid both have that ridge of pottery shinning through (I love that part of Italian clay work, so textural). Not signed, ultimate age unknown, in lovely vintage condition, found in an old old old estate in Maine. Colors include cream white, blue, saffron yellow and a warm terra cotta red.
