I had a Dermatolology appointment before noon, had orders to pack and get to the Post Office in the afternoon and my daughter's graduation 2.5 hours (one way) away from home in the evening. So in the middle of world wide craziness, I have my own personal craziness. Mourning/moving/trying to stay safe. Happy to know you are doing well 💕💕

It's devastating and life-changing to lose someone who is so important. Luckily, you will have a houseful and heartful of memories. 1witty_username @vixntage I get it. I always feel like an orphan too. I come from what is considered a large family this day in age. I'm one of 8 kids. My parents had 6 boys and 2 girls between 1959-1979. Since I'm one of the younger ones, I have also been to 2 funerals for my siblings. I just lost my only sister last December. Cancer...same as my mom. I know I will see them again someday and take solace in knowing my folks are together again, but I do miss that connection. (continued)

I swallow hard, stuff the feelings down and push it to the back of my head so others aren't uncomfortable. Because it does make friends and loved ones who have never dealt with that blow "uncomfortable". Some think death is natural maybe so, but it didn't feel natural growing up without a mother. (cont)

1witty_username @vixntage There are still times, I wish I could talk to them to tell them some news or how to make this or that. Holidays, birthdays and special occasions are a tough one. Pictures and memories become your sacred prized possessions. When my mom passed, I kept a pair of her shoes so I could walk around in them and her perfume, so I could smell her. I don't think a 12 yo has any rational way to cope. I didn't think I could ever smile or be happy again, but I was wrong.

Doug hates peas; he has a bib that says “give peas a chance” @ mexican food he ❤️ rice but it has peas in it; I get a “rescue chip” & sing “my heart will go on” as he picks em out & puts it on the chip like Titanic! 🚣‍♂️ then I graciously gobble the rescue chip cuz i LOVE peas and they’re banned from the residence so it was my only chance! Holland has a time where every pub serves their family version of Split Pea Soup..:are you gagging yet? 🤮

1witty_username @cordog99 I'm with Doug on this one! As far as carrots go, I like raw babies, but not a fan of cooked carrots unless they're baked with a big roast surrounded by potatoes and celery. The vegetables soak up all the beef broth and morph into something greater.🦹‍♀️Yum😋! I haven't had that meal in years! My poor kids😢. Glad their granny cooks!😂

cordog99 @1witty_username that’s why I love your granola mix sooo much: full disclosure is I put one teeny tiny measured teaspoon full on the tip of my tongue with 1-2 cranberries and allow it to infuse into my tongue carefully avoiding chewing too much until only cranberry remains...I can taste every single ingredient in its glory and all the ❤️ ...girl...I will eventually make my own...but...if some did happen to appear from the ether....ERMIGAWD 😳 😋

cathyfrangos sorry I haven't shared back last few days. Thursday I have a completed knee replacement in my left leg along with a crack in my tibia repair got home from the hospital Friday night. Every time I look at the screen to the start hearing my eyes closed LOL

cathyfrangos So sorry I have not been able to share. I'm back in the hospital again after developing a severe blood clot that traveled up into my chest.. This was several days after I got home from the hospital having knee replacement surgery.. Hopefully they'll let me go home Sunday.!!!
