When it comes to rating the vintage costume jewelry designers, HATTIE CARNEGIE will always be by the top of your list.: This amazing rare bib necklace has to stand out as one of her most beautiful creations. The piece is in excellent vintage condition even with some finish wear on the back which is consistent with age. Not visible when worn. Hattie used ruby oval glass cabochons along with oval cut amethyst stones to make up the body of the piece. There are clear rhinestones separating the larger jewels as well as more prong sat stones in the gold tone metal chain leading to the hook closure. On the back issue a small disc signed by the designer. The main stones are set in a triangle shape with each side measuring 5”. Overall size of the necklace is 23” with the base being 5” across and the rhinestone embossed leading to the hook closure are each 9” long.
