The complete set of paperback classics in its own bookshelf box. Vintage, copyright 1970. Only one book has been read, and a name is written on the inside front cover. It's in excellent condition. All other books are new with no torn pages or damage. Prince Caspian has a bent right front corner. The self-contained box housing all seven books is also like new with a small dent on the upper left corner. The Chronicles of Narnia is a seven-book series by C.S. Lewis tells the story of children who are transported to the magical land of Narnia through a portal in the real world. The books were originally published between 1950 and 1956 and are illustrated by Pauline Baynes. The series follows the adventures of the Pevensie siblings, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, who are evacuated from London during World War II and taken to stay with Professor Digory Kirke in the English countryside. While there, they discover a wardrobe in the professor's mansion that leads to Narnia, where they encounter talking animals, witches, and dragons. In Narnia, the children are guided by the talking lion Aslan as they fight the White Witch and try to restore the throne to its rightful line. Time passes differently in Narnia, so any time spent there is equivalent to no time at all in the real world.
