This is a 1955 book of a photographic exhibit created by Edward Steichen for the Museum of Modern Art in NY. The prologue is by Carl Sandburg. The book is full of black and white images of mankind throughout the world. The exhibit was created in a passionate spirit of devoted love and faith in man. 207 pages. Good, not pristine, condition.
