The Kooples Military-Style Wool-Cashmere Peacoat with Velvet Collar

This vintage inspired, military-style peacoat is a real stunner! I used to wear this out over a little black dress and feel like a classic, old money style fancy girl. It'll class up any outfit and add elegance. But it's oversized and comes off trendy not stuffy. It's also warm and soft from the quality wool/cashmere construction (90/10). The base of this coat is a dark navy peacoat with single-breasted button closure, slit pockets, functional pockets, and a dramatic notch collar. The base coat is dressed up with velvet details including a beautiful velvet collar, velvet strips on each sleeve with an embroidery pattern, and embroidery with buttons on the shoulders. The buttons are classic "The Kooples", big statement buttons with a heraldic design. Finally, the star of the show is the big coat of arms brooch! If you wanted you could remove it or replace it with something different, but it's such a striking look with the rest of the coat I would recommend keeping it. A note: this coat is pre-owned and has mild wear overall including light pilling. There is no specific damage or notable flaws other than that. The only thing is, I believe it may have originally been a double-breasted style. When I purchased it, there were two buttons stacked on one side and I hired a tailor to move the second button so it functions a single-breasted coat.
