Written by Katharine Anthony who was known as a woman and feminist writer who also wrote biographies about interesting people from the USA. "The Lambs" is a study of siblings Charles and Mary Lamb which delves into the causes of Mary's insanity. The story of Charles and Mary, who were writers living during the late 18th & early 19th-century in London. Mary Anne Lamb was an English writer. Mary is best known for the collaboration with Charles on the collection Tales from Shakespeare. Mary suffered from mental illness, and in 1796, aged 31, she stabbed her mother to death during a mental breakdown. This book delves into the history of both of them. This book is an interesting read. It does show some signs of wear from the inside (see photos) but its in great reading condition. Does NOT have a dust cover.
