A renown Bible for those who make bread, by Laurel Roberston, Carol Flinders and Bronwen Godfrey. Unfortunately, I'm not very good about reading the Bible or making bread. I have had this book all these years and only opened it twice: way back when in '84 (without making any bread) and today. I'll bet you never even knew there were this many kinds of bread, breads from all over the world and from many ethnicities - 114 to be exact. Laurel is known as a guiding spirit whose kitchen symbolizes whole-food cookery at its best. A charming book put together with much knowledge and love, enhanced with rustic block-print artwork throughout (by the authors themselves). Also included are many handy references, tips, ingredient sourcing, and a whole handbook at the end. 16 page index (!). 448 pages. Copyright 1984 by the Blue Mountain Center for Meditation. There is minor shelf-wear on the book jacket and some fading on the jacket's spine, but otherwise the book itself is in like-new condition.
