The Road to Dorothy’s House Watercolor Painting Dorothy painted this panorama in mid fall from a field across from her house. She loved watching trees; grasses and flowers changing their colors and shapes during the day and late afternoon. She felt she painted best in the early morning hours when the sun was high, or late afternoon when this picture was painted. I met Dorothy while traveling in England. She had an exhibit of her work in the wonderful village of Chipping Norton in the Cotswold's. I fell in love with her work. Her colors are vibrant and calm, her depiction of the gardens and English landscapes are just the way that I always think of the English countryside. I do have quite a collection of her watercolors. All her paintings are signed and most are painted En Plein Air around the Cotswold’s area in the 1970/1980's. The frame in this picture has considerable peeling due to age and moving around countries. I have taken that into consideration in the price.
