- "The Vampire Lestat" is a gothic horror novel written by Anne Rice, first published in 1985. It is the second book in "The Vampire Chronicles" series and follows the character of Lestat de Lioncourt, a French nobleman who is transformed into a vampire in the 18th century.
- In the novel, Lestat becomes disillusioned with the life of a vampire and decides to reveal himself to the world by becoming a rock star in the 1980s. This decision attracts the attention of other vampires, including his maker, Marius, and the ancient vampire, Akasha, who seeks to use Lestat for her own purposes.
- As Lestat's fame grows, he struggles with his own morality and the ethics of drinking human blood. He also seeks to uncover the secrets of his vampiric existence, including the origins of his kind and the true nature of the vampire queen, Akasha.
- "The Vampire Lestat" is a thrilling and atmospheric novel that explores themes of power, identity, and mortality. Rice's vivid prose and richly-drawn characters make for a captivating read that is both unsettling and enthralling. This hardcover edition is a must-have for fans of the horror genre and vampire mythology.

Is this a first edition, first printing? Could you post photos of first few pages inside the book? Also, are there any names or handwriting inside this book? Ink Stampings? Was this a library copy? I’m sorry for all the questions. I prefer used/preowned books with no markings or writing in them, except for author signature.

With a $15 price tag this is a 1st edition of the 4th printing. Not the first edition of the first printing. You should really consider being more transparent and show the copyright page.

@mrsamartin no, it’s the first edition of the forthcoming printing at least with the price tag of $15 for a hardcover and inflation. This came out in 1985 and the price at least is about right although I’ve seen better for less.
