The original oil on canvas painting by van Raisdael in Amsterdam c. 1670 was painted during the Golden Age. Known for its meticulous detail from dark clouds to windmill, castle, ships to tiny women. The reproduction onto a plate that is gold trimmed and 4.5” by 6.5” was made in England for Brooks Brothers Est 1818.
