RARE. RETIRED. HARD TO FIND.
Most of us remember The Wizard of Oz as the film starring Judy Garland and Bert Lahr. But the film was based on an immensely popular early 20th century Oz series. In these novels, Oz is the utopian land beyond the rainbow where threats are turned back with valor and ingenuity. Considered the first truly American fairy tale, The Wizard of Oz follows the adventures of Dorothy Gale and her dog, Toto, after her Kansan home is swept away by a cyclone and lands in Oz, killing
the Wicked Witch of the East. But there is so much more depth to the story - and listening to Rebecca Burns narrate it - you will be enthralled and maybe even want to get your hands on the other 13 books in the series. Yes that's right. In total, Baum wrote 14 Oz books! Some of them aren’t even based in Kansas; Dorothy is an international globetrotter! Anyway - I promise you will love this and listen to it again and again.
