I couldn't find a ruler but I put the opening against this messenger bag which is 18.1" wide. It did fall off the shoulder but I also included a not so good pic of a Vince metallic sweater I have. It also fell off the shoulder. It's not cashmere though. Let me know if I can help more.

krs911 @kennedymonroe if you decide you wanna try it I will take it back or give you more measurements. The cashmere is not that long and the neck isn't that big. Just wish I'd added these notes just in case you run out of other options. Again congrats.
