"Springtime" has a floral rim and center with an inner gold circle and gold trim. This is in the smooth stye. This was first produced in 1951 and is discontinued.
Theodore was the son of David Haviland. In the 1800s, David and his brothers owned a china shop in New York City. 4 brothers who traded, imported, exported china from France and England. David moved his family to France to start producing porcelain. Word spread of his prestigious reputation of fine china. A Haviland limoge was the must-have item. Even US Presidents were smitten.
