the_evenstar As Posher relatively new to selling, I'd appreciate your advice on something: Is posting a photo from a retail website (like Amazon, or Loft, or Macy's) acceptable in a listing? I would rather do that sometimes because it shows how an item can be styled or gives a more accurate view of an item's color. But I also know that Poshmark advises not to post any pictures I didn't take or didn't get permission to use. What's your thinking on this area? I appreciate your help!

abbacadabra Hi @erininva! Great question. I am happy to help. Photos are kind of a gray area. Most photos from other sites are subject to copyright so you want to do your best not to use them. Others are okay to use. Often Poshers use blog photos or pics that aren't directly from a seller's site and does not contain a trademark/watermark/copyright. I've also seen fellow Poshers use photos from blog sites but make sure credit is given to the site and/or photographer.

abbacadabra @erininva (part 2) Also, it is my understanding that if a photo is changed; e.g. Collage, color, etc. it becomes an original photo of sorts. It is always best to take your own photos when you can and give your cover shots flare and personality. I am in the process of updating all of my photos and plan to add new ones. Personal pics are always best. I hope that helps!
