This is a beautiful hand painted plate in the Betty pattern.

The edge is Piecrust. It is simply decorated with a large red flower, a smaller yellow flower, and green leaves. The edge is pie crust shaped, and there is a band of green around the rim of the plate. It was made by Southern Potteries and was part of their famous Blue Ridge Dinnerware line. It is marked in ink on the bottom with the manufacturer's mark. It reads: Blue Ridge Under glaze hand painted Southern Potteries, Inc. Made in the U.S.A. The pottery was in operation from 1917 through 1957. This plate would date to the later years of operation when they introduced china into their line. It measures approximately 9 1/4”. The blue plate beneath the main plate is only a prop and is not for sale.
