There is a zip up back to the dress and it comes with the cape already taken off. For prom, I altered a slit into the dress by taking out the horsehair braid but I have the horsehair braid with the dress as well. Everything comes together unless buyer does not want them.

hannahsosby @lucydiamond the cape was sewn over the shoulders for a pageant. I had her remove it once that ended but it can easily be re-attached or attached with snaps (much easier)
