This is my dad- he passed 2/5/22 he was my best friend- my everything

I lost my mom 10/8/1995 when I was 15 years old...in a car accident...I had my learner's permit for only about a month...it was my fault...my mom passed an another young man ...he was only around 22 years old...my mom died on my lap before help could get to us...the last thing she said was to take care of my dad...I tried to keep this promise...I never married...never had children...I was my dad's caregiver...I got him through heart surgery...almost dying from lung cancer...living on oxygen...living with the aftermath of heart disease...having half his lung taken out...almost dying from a staff infection and the aftermath...he was my best friend...my teammate...my everything.....then covid happened...I tried so hard for him not to get it...without telling the whole horrible...traumatic story...I watched it destroy my dad in 10 days... the hospital give him medicine to basically kill him...I tried so hard...had the police called on me...but somehow I failed him...i should have stopped it all- saved him...he begged me to help him...he would have been 84 years old Friday 8/11/23...please take care of your parents
