This is an original nineteenth century hand colored double page centerfold wood block engraving by artist Thomas Nast, the creator of our modern graphic conception of Santa Claus. This is a large double page, original, antique engraving Title: "Here We Are Again!" Artist: Thomas Nast featuring SANTA CLAUS ringing in the New Year for 1878. The engraving comes from the January 5, 1878 issue of "Harper's Weekly" newspaper/magazine. The sheet is over-sized and measures 15 1/4" tall x 21 3/4" wide Thomas Nast is considered to be the "Father of the American Cartoon" and created the modern version of Santa Claus.
