Each animal was an endangered species in the 1990s, which continues to this day. Small cards are about 5 x 3.5 inches Cards depict Key Deer; once roamed hundreds of islands in the Florida Keys and are excellent swimmers; Karner Blue Butterflies that are going extinct because their life cycle depends upon one type of plant, the bluebonnet, which is often destroyed by development; and Ocelots, who average 18 inches at the shoulder and 25 pounds, making them about the size of a dog.
