Art Deco Chiseled Box designed by Tiffany Co.
Beautiful antique box made at the Tiffany studios in New York city, back in the 1927. This nice trinket box was realized during the directory presidency of John C. Moore (1907-1947) and was carefully crafted with beautiful art deco patterns in solid sterling silver of .925/.999 with high polished finish. Fitted with a hinged lid and decorated with incised and chiseled arabesque patterns motifs in a plain footed flat base. The original greenish velvet fitting is still in great condition. As with all Tiffany pieces, the quality and design are beyond compare. Exceptional and rare example of Tiffany's finest work.

Measurements: 143.5 mm by 89 mm by 32 mm (5.65 x 3.5 x 1.26 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the silver assay mark, the pattern numbers, the order numbers, the inventory production reference, the letter T for Charles L. Tiffany and signed as usual, "TIFFANY CO. 21024A MAKERS 1031 STERLING SILVER 925-1000 M".
Note: Tiffany silver holloware and flatware is generally marked Tiffany Co and generally includes date letters indicating the period it was made. Flatware also usually includes a pattern number. The first date letter "M (old English) used by Tiffany’s represented Edward C.
