Tiffany & Co 1977 Elsa Peretti Rock Quartz Lilies Clips On Earrings In 18Kt

A lilies earrings designed by Elsa Peretti (1940-2021) for Tiffany Co. These sculptural pair of clips-on earrings are extremely rare and just a few were produced. They were designed in the shape of lilies flowers by Elsa Peretti for the Tiffany studios back in the 1977. Carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish and fitted at the reverse with very comfortable hinged omega backs for fastening clips. The addition of posts for pierced ears can be easily done. They were designed as an asymmetric left and right pair and mounted with two carvings of natural translucent clear rock quartz in the shape of lilies. These carvings are embedded in the gold of the main body giving the impression they are floating. These little sculptures have a reminiscence to the flowers painted by the American artist women, Georgia O'Keeffe (1887-1986).                                                 Weight: 17.85 grams, (11.55 Dwt.).
