Pair of earrings designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany Co.
Beautiful pair of modernist clips-on earrings, designed by Angela Cummings, back in the 1978-79. They are a playful and youthful sculptural oval pair crafted at the Tiffany Company studios in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polish finish. They are fitted with comfortable hinged omega backs for fastening clips and the addition of posts for pierced ears can be easily added. The sculptural design create a beautiful color contrast with the gold settings and the jade gemstones, with a reminiscence to the French artist Jean Arp.
Nephrite Jade: They are embellished with 2 oval cabochon cuts, carved from natural nephrite green jade, with a weight of about 36 carats.
Weight: 16.68 grams, (10.69 Dwt).
Measures: 21 mm by 17 mm by 9 mm, (0.83 x 0.67 x 0.35 Inches).
Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold, the inventory numbers and signed, "TCO 18KT".
