Pair of cufflinks designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany Co.
A beautiful and colorful pair of cufflinks, created in New York city by Angela Cummings at the Tiffany Co. studios, back in the 1980. These cufflinks have been crafted with wavy shapes in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polish finish. They are embellished with inlaid mosaics, composed of sixteen natural gemstones carved from black jade, lapis lazuli and white nacre. The cufflinks are fitted with T bars.
Gemstones: Mounted in inlaid settings, with 16 fancy cabochon cuts carved from natural black jade, blue lapis lazuli and white nacre
Weight: 10.3 grams, (6.65 Dwt.).
Measures: 18 mm by 18 mm by 20 mm (0.71 x 0.71 x 0.79 Inches).
Hallmarks: They are both stamped with the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the gold and signed, "TCO .750 18KT".
Angela Cummings
She was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She takes her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
