jgreen0722 Hello, so nice to see the pictures of a successful rescue. I am Jennifer Greenspan and l have a non profit street cat rescue. The volunteers do most of the fixing, food and water with shelters. I do a lot of behavior work with people and their cat/ kittens as well as training future cat behaviorists. So l wanted to tell you at you baby’s age if you use your hands tp play with her she will grow up to bite. Hands are for love only, just love. So now l am going to ask you to go buy

jgreen0722 Go buy long stuffed toys about 8 ti 12 inches and keep them in places were you play with kitty. Whalen she starts to bite os scratch your hand just pull it away by saying no no in a non threatening way . So you say Nono and take your hand away and then give her the toy and tell her play with this toy. It’s ok to wiggle the toy,but she must only bite or grab the toy. Also your kitty may be growing in new adult teeth the best toys to chew on are plastic McDonalds has the best straws.

jgreen0722 So put out straws and long stuffed toys. Now if she stars to chew electrical wire go get orange oil, lemon oil, lime oil. Take a clean rag and put the oil on the electrical wire. I guarantee he will never want to chew wire because cats/ kittens hate citrus. Also if your kitty starts to get into plants just slice oranges or lemons and put them around the base dirt of the plant that will keep them out of plants.Should you ever have any questions feel free to reach out and ask me. jgreen0722 The best way to eliminate bad behavior is to channel the behavior in a different direction. Like if kitty starts to bite toes pick up a pig pong ball and roll it over the floor past her. The ping pong balls can be purchased at the dollar stores along with balls the size of ping pong balls, no smaller ! Small items can lead to chocking and death. Just remember when you say no to one behavior immediately say yes to playing with toys. That way you can channel the behavior for the better.

luvnbling @jgreen0722 ha! I love this! I’ll be sure and pick her up straws at McDonald’s then. Yes, she does play with our shelter rescue but she still bites at us when playing. So I have a question, she nurses on certain blankets. We provide them for her and obviously it’s too late to correct if we weaned her too quickly but is it healthy for her?

jgreen0722 Hello again, l don’t know how old baby kitty is ? I would like to. When young cats suckle blankets I call it lack of titty syndrome. She was very tiny when you found her and l am so happy she lived. Buy at that tender age she needed to suckle. If you could tell me her age l could better know how to her her. I have a kitten that was very young when we got it and he needed more time to suckle. Suckling releases certain feel good hormones to their brains. So l always let him suckle

jgreen0722 Suckle my ear until he feel asleep. Now that he’s about three months old l still let him suckle but just for a few minutes,he picks his time. So he suckles for a few minutes and he’s off playing, eating or napping. Suckling is a self suthing and makes kitty’s feel good. My little boy is weaning himself when he was little he would suckle for five min 4-5 times a day and now he doing it for about 3 minutes once a day and some days he doesn’t want to suckle. I have done this over

jgreen0722 I have let many kittens suckle my ears over many years and they all wean off on there own., and don’t suckle anything as adults. As they grow up the will self sooth by kneeding with there front paws,or as we call it makin biscuits. Just let me know her age and when you weaned her. That info will help me a lot. Thanks!Jennifer G🌸🐈💕
