@love7575 the dress has a fold. The material is twisted at the top and cascades in a fold, if that makes sense. I will take some more pictures when I get home and post them for you.

How heavy is the material? Is it light?

@christinamil875 I apologize for the delayed response. It's polyester and spandex. The dress is heavy enough that it's not see through, drapes nicely and is more dressy than casual. I hope that is helpful. It's a little too big for me which I didn't realize when I bought it, otherwise I'd keep it. Very pretty and flattering!
