A Slim fit shirt provides that tapered cut through the midsection and waist but comes with little to no room in the upper body. ... The Athletic fit dress shirt provides more room in the upper body with slightly lower arm holes and a tailored waist.

This shirt does not have a particularly ‘tailored’ waist. i would describe it as mote slightly tapered.
