And just remember, if it's too good to be true - then it's probably a fake. Also, it's extremely easy for someone sitting behind a computer trying to make a quick buck to answer "yes" when asked if an item is authentic. Even if these sellers with multiples of TB brand new bags works for TB or a retailer and receives a discount, they're still issued a receipt that they can show. ;)

I received a $400 bag that came with all of the accessories, TB card stock and tags and dust bag - had the clear authentic ovation tag inside the bag too. What was not supposed to be there is a tiny sticker with Chinese print that was affixed to the back of one of the pockets. TB store confirmed FAKE. Now I'm out $300+

@cantthkofone So sorry to hear that happened to you! I saw someone on here w/ multiple TB bags in their closet. Logic says, they have to be fake. Why would someone purchase new TB bags in multiple quantities & then resale here for a loss of profit? No one is THAT nice.

That's why all my TB bags are bought from the store. Sometimes Neiman Marcus has big sale on holiday weekends so just watch out for those. And I'm lucky to be 30 minutes away from the San Francisco TB outlet.

@jbiernat like I mentioned to someone else, even if they work for TB directly and get their 40% discount - simple math tells you what they pay for it, how much they pay on the posh fees per transaction and the sale price - it's not enough to be running a scheme like that. Besides ALL retailers that carry TB would pickup on an employee ordering those quantities with their discount.

So if they are getting them from retailers, where are they getting them..... CHINA! Don't get me wrong they've all appeared to be pretty nice looking, but fake. If you are going to sell fake then cop up to it, don't deceive people.

What's scary on here is, there's only three days to report it or your SOL which is what happened to me. Or like me I opened this gorgeous bag and immediately accepted - thinking posh was watching out for me. A few days later I find that Chinese sticker... Ugh.

@jbiernat welllllllllllllllll I bought mine from a girl who said authentic and it wasn't one of the bulk dealers so I thought I was safe. After I found out it was fake I asked where she got it. SHE had bought it from the one that's on here who had told her it was real. Ugh!!!! It's trickling down all over the place. I reported that seller two weeks ago and she's still slinging away. They also can create multiple accounts on here

@cantthkofone did you try emailing posh anyways even though you accepted? Their service is usually really nice all the times ive had trouble but then again i didnt acvept it quite yet.. but worth a shot if you havent. Also totally thank you for this post. I see people selling EXPLICITLY fake raybans too and when i say something they go and bash me for my normal clothing items. Lmao if you know its fake then def say so, love this post

@leliian Thank you for your comment. It kills me to see some being taken advantage of. Maybe some do want a "high-end" replica & that's ok for them. I just feel it should be presented that way w/ 100% clarity so that the buyer knows exactly what they are getting.

@lunua My thoughts: 1 How much was it retail? 2 How much different is the asking price from retail because you have to factor in the sellers loss due to Posh. If it's brand new & they are taking a huge loss, that could be a bad sign. I would rather get a nice discount but pay a little more vs. pay a lot less & get a fake . 4 How willing the seller is to answer questions 5 Try to have them answer as many questions as you can so that if you have a claim, it's all in writing.

I had bought a Marion quilted tote on here within the past two weeks. It had the tag and all hardware wrapped and clear coated like new. Smells new like real leather too. Came with original dust bag. I bought a used wallet that is the same kind, but from a different seller. Both have clear tiny tags that say "made in China" in them. The wallet has a green circle sticker on the clear tag and says "TB3". What do you guys think?

No I bought the purse from s1pellegrino. Apparently her stuff has been authenticated by other buyers, however, after she makes a sale she deletes her entire closet...weird. I def going to have mine looked at when I get the chance.

@luxehoney they make replica EVERYTHING sad to say. I don’t think I’ve seen a fake TB in person. I stay clear of closets w/ multiple designer bags. I just always wonder how they have inventory & where it comes from. You have to ask questions & use common sense in things sometimes.
