Traditional Japanese Kago

Geisha(Maiko&Geiko) carry their personal belongings to work in these speciality made bags. The bottom is made of real woven bamboo while the upper part is made from interwoven fabric of silk and fabrics left over from their clothes. It is then closed by string and cord. A very rare item but I’m downsizing my collection.
