<div class='description'><p>A true American folk music pioneer, Travis Edmonson became a highly influential figure of the San Francisco folk music scene of the 1950's. a gifted singer with a versatile tenor voice and witty stage manner, Edmonson was noted for bringing a Mexican flavor to folk music, a style he was fascinated with as a child growing up in Arizona. In 1958 he formed the folk duo Bud and Travis with guitarist and singer Bud Dashiell. Along with the Smothers Brothers, the Limeliters and the Kingston Trio, Bud and Travis became one of the most famous folk acts in America, and around the world. Presented here is Edmonson's vintage 1965 solo album, "Travelin' with Travis," which contains many of his personal favorite songs including his classic signature song, "Malaguena Salerosa."
