Two Fortunoff Hematite and 14K Gold Beaded Necklaces, 30 Inches Each

These 30-inch strands of hematite and gold beads were purchased at the Fortunoff flagship store on NYC's Fifth Avenue in 2005. Hematite beads are 8mm, with 3mm spacers in 14 karat gold. Wear them long and loose, or gathered with the included golden clasp (gold vermeil over sterling). Or double the strands with the stainless steel chain, also included. (They are not quite long enough to double up with vermeil clasp.) These dark reflective gems and golden beads add solemnity and a bit of flash to an outfit. Metaphysical types attribute hematite, which is mildly magnetic, with the power to ward off bad energy. A little extra protection couldn't hurt. Each strand weighs 100 grams. Have been worn fewer than 10 times. Note that the beads are freely strung, without knotting, which keeps the necklaces fluid. The necklaces were sold with a little play in the length, perhaps to give them flexibility rather than straining the cord. If security is a concern, they could be restrung with knots every couple of inches, adding a clasp for versatility.
