Two Vintage French Books for Children - Totor et Tristan, Zoo Animals

Two lovely French books for young readers. 1) "Berlitz French Zoo Animals for Children", copyright 1963. Authored by Robert Strumpen-Darrie and Charles & Valerie Berlitz. Illustrated by Art Seiden. The cover states - "a unique home-study method; simple, practical pronunciations at a glance. This approach to language-teaching for children uses phonics developed by the Berlitz Schools of Language". Combination of beautiful color, and black and white illustrations (see photos). Illustrations are frame-worthy. Hardback book shows some wear to the cover commensurate with it's age including some rippling and discoloration on front cover. Pages are all intact with no tears, scribbles, or missing pages. Sold as is. 2) "Totor et Tristan", coyright1938, authored by Josette Eugenie Spink and Violet Millis. The first half of this vintage hardback book has beautiful and colorful illustrations. The second half of the book has exercises for practice, and black and white illustrations. Part story, part practice exercises. Added bonus: the original reader's embellishments on the inside front and back covers! So cute - vintage doodles and comments; so fun to look at (see photos). Sold as is - normal wear on cover commensurate with it's age, all pages are there, no tears; minimal writing on a few of the pages, but it doesn't detract from the enjoyment of reading this charming book. Perfect for young readers interested in learning French.
