geekmom148 @diane_hintz Hi! The sole is about 1/2 inch thick but there is also a wedge heel that’s 2 inches. It’s subtle as it is covered by the suede.

geekmom148 @jglmt Hi! Yes, I would. If memory serves this style didn't come in half sizes but I can't say that for certain. I can say my daughter wears an 8.5 usually too, and she got the 9 because of the fit. The wedge heel likely adds to this.
