Universal Geneve 14k watch

Universal Geneve has been making watches longer than a lot of famous watch makers like Rolex, who did not start until the early twentieth century. Numa Emile Descombes and Ulysse Georges Perret created Universal Genève in 1894 in Locle (Neuchâtel, Switzerland). During the 1930s-1960s, the company took the name Universal Watch Co. Ltd. and experienced great growth under the direction of Raoul Perret, son of the founder. This solid 14k gold watch is in what is called the tank style, a name given a a Cartier watch with a very similar shape that reminded people of the tanks built during World War I. This watch has just been serviced and the Swiss movement is ready for show time. The flexible band is not original to the watch but actually suits it very well
