jcmak74 the reason I ask is when I was a little girl my grandfather had a very similar pocketwatch but a very distinct design on the back and it's looks so similar.

tammyk289 @jcmak74 Thank you so much for reaching out. I believe this item was given to me by my mother. I don’t think she knew where she got it. But she has had it for years. When I get home this evening I will be glad to take a look a little deeper for any kind of engraving. I’ll get back with you as soon as possible.

jcmak74 @tammyk289 you can ask her if she's still available that would be great my mother claims that my uncle has the watch but I'm not so sure she did mention to me that if there was no engraving on it that it might be that one. so there's no indication of any date does she know went about said she got it such as the year

jcmak74 my mother's family is from Chicago and they ended up settling in Northern California and the Sacramento area when my grandmother passed away she was up in the East Bay San Francisco Bay Area

tammyk289 @jcmak74 mom thinks she picked it up in a thrifting or antique mall in Oklahoma. It reminded her of one her dad had. She knew it wasn’t THE one. So as the years passed the sentimental attachment to it diminished.
