Incredible “Big Red” Expedition parka from Canada Goose. Purchased from Hammacher Schlemmer in 2006, prior to when they started sewing holographic tags and before they featured the Expedition label on the back. Labels on the interior, outside front pocket and zipper feature the vintage goose logo. The interior of this coat is in near-pristine condition, with down evenly distributed throughout, Velcro strips clean and free of lint, no pilling on the sweater cuffs, and real coyote fur in great shape. All bungee cords are perfect, with no kinks. Hood trim is not removable. The coat was worn throughout the years in Boston, commuting on the train and schlepping through the snowy streets, so the exterior is pretty dirty. I checked it over and spot cleaned where I could, but there is dirt at the corners of the pockets, under the arms, and across the back. I’m sure a professional cleaning could get the outside to look as good as the inside!
