Could also be hemmed shorter to eliminate this and make it a very cute summer nightgown History of the brand: Barbizon was established in 1933 as a maker of women’s rayon lingerie. They were unique in that they also made the fabrics from which their garments were sewn. They specialized in high-quality synthetic blends, which they gave romantic names such as Satin de Lys and Angel Blendaire. Barbizon was sold to the VF Corporation (Vanity Fair) in 1991.
