This extraordinary vintage cap is from the exclusive boutique, Jay Thorpe, once located on W. 56th street in Manhattan, NYC from the 1930’s-1970’s. This beautiful cap was made in Italy. It’s woven with disc shaped, opalescent sequins attached, and a satin band. No missing sequins or flaws in knitting. Very faint makeup stains on inside only of satin band, see photo. Diameter around band~ 22 3/4”. Band has no stretch but rest of cap does. This fits my head well with a little extra room, and the diameter of my head is 22” (a small head). I have fine hair that is not thick and curly.
