Vendôme was formed in the late 1940s as a subsidiary of Coro, the American costume jewellery manufacturer. The Vendôme line of jewellery was pitched at the high end of the costume jewellery market and was Coro's most expensive line. Vendôme jewellery was designed to emulate French fashions of the time and was marketed to women of elite status. The company was known to use the best materials and the components were hand assembled. Vendôme closed in 1979.
The necklace is 18" long with a 1.5" pendant. There is a metal signed tag at the closure. The earrings are approx 1.75" long and are signed on the back.
Great overall condition, there is slight wear on the pearl drops, the gold plating has worn on the front of the earrings, and a couple of pearl beads on the necklace have discoloration.
Flower prop not included.
