VENTURA HIGHWAY Custom Distressed Cowboy Hat

This is an adjustable wool felt hat that’s been reshaped, dyed, etched, distressed, and burned. The black dye is graduated and met with tan dye to create an asphalt color melt of black, grey, and tan, with brown burned areas. The top has been etched with a California highway scene. The crown has a custom buckskin band, wrapped with muted blue leather cord, brown leather cowhide, bandana and twine. It was evening when I finished so I’ll take more photos tomorrow.
