Bear Wang Mermaid Wedding Dress Purchased from the Vera wang boutique in Beverly Hills. Worn once for my wedding. Kept in storage. Purchase in 2015 Altered with Vera Wang tailors. On the bottom, a layered organza and lace flange creates a unique mermaid shape, while at the top, the waist is cinched with a basket weave corset of silk gazaar (a crisp, stiff, heavier-than average silk). While we love a sweetheart neckline, we appreciate that this less traditional neckline is unexpected and interesting. In between, the strapless dress is accented by “floating corded leaf and em oidered circular lace” throughout. From the back, the simplicity of the bodice versus against the layers and layers of prettiness on the bottom is both elegant and fun.
