VILETTA INUIT CHILDREN Mug - Viletta Canada Inuit Mugs- Signed Nori Peter Mugs

Set of two- Beautiful vintage stoneware mugs depicting Inuit children at play. They are at the waters edge with their sailboats and husky dogs and the children are dressed in very colourful clothing. The colors and detail are fabulous. The mugs are signed by the artist Nori Peter who was born in Budapest, Hungary and emigrated to Canada in 1956. She passed away in 2009. She started to paint Inuit children in the late 1960's and continued on for many years. Her work graced the walls of many art galleries and she also did work for porcelain companies. These are very collectible pieces by a very talented artist. They are in excellent condition and looks like it has never been used. The mugs stand 3 5/8" high x 3" mouth.
