nashgirl615 @klgb05 I have very high arches and a slightly wider ball to my feet — not wide enough to be considered wide by industry standards, but it can make top-covering shoes like this difficult and these shoes always fit like a dream. The leather is soft and supple. I can press the top flat with my thumb. My heels come right to the back edge of the shoe but the elastic is not tight AT ALL. Definitely there to allow the foot entry/exit to/from the shoe. I hope this helps!
