VINTAGE 1950s Ann Taylor day dress sz S

Rare Ann Taylor day dress from the 1950s, inherited from my glamorous aunt. The only time I wore it in public years ago I was approached by Academy Award nominated costume designer Theadora Van Runkle who exclaimed, “That's vintage isn't it? Lovely!” and made me twirl around! So I knew it was special and never wore it again! The photos don't do it justice. Unusual lightweight cotton fabric with gold threads and little orange tufts on the corners of each square of this beige and taupe block pattern. No size label but I wear Small and this fits me. Armpit to armpit 18” Waist 14” Skirt length 26” Metal side zipper Sleeveless with unusual four button double breasted detail on back of dress A fabric belt loop on each side. 2 large front pockets Pleated at the waist, then the full skirt falls in soft folds to midi length.
