ANTHONY FREEMAN McFARLIN
This unique and rare Anthony Freeman Mcfarlin gold leaf bunny set is a must-have for any collector. The set consists of a beautifully crafted ceramic pair of Bunny Rabbits. The gold leaf adds a touch of elegance to the set, making it perfect for all occasions and a great addition to any animal-themed collection.
There are no repairs, chips or cracks. Gold gilding radiates elegance with the distressed redish undertones popping through here and there (clay to brick red). Life like eyes and body stance similar to that of natural rabbits in the wild. As artful as they are playfully executed with whimsical expressions.
Buck measurements:
10 1/2" tall x 4-1/2" wide x 7”long
Doe measurements:
7” tall x 4-1/2" wide x 7 1/2" long

Anthon y Freeman McFarlin was founded in 1927 by Gerald McFarlin and Maynard Anthony Freeman in El Monte, California and they operated as McFarlin Potteries until 1972. They are known for producing high-quality figurines and this set is no exception. They are perfect pieces of decor for any home and a great gift for collectors or animal lovers. Both are signed by the designer. Sometimes you will see areas of red and gold patches, these are not flaws, but a part of the design process. The red coating under the gold leaf is used to give a very vibrant coloration. It is becoming increasingly rare to find complete sets in good condition.

Thank you! They do bring a smile to my face. I don’t want to see them go, but age is forcing us to ownsize and simplify. Time for someone else to appreciate them. I enjoyed so many items in your closet.

@gypsyruthh Awww, thanks! I wish I could get to downsize, seem to be moving in opposite direction! Proud of your ability 🥰

Well, as they say “your kids don’t want your stuff”. We always have much more than we realize.
