VINTAGE BORSALINO MEN'S DARK GRAY "REX" STINGY HAT SIZE 6 7/8

vintage pre-worn Borsalino Rex Stingy dark gray hat in its original box ... sold from Rogers Peet men's store in NYC in the 70s... this hat was made in Alexandria Italy where the Borsalinos have been an icon of the Italian fashion market for 160 years... throughout it all Borsalino has maintained it's quality continuing to make felt hats that required skilled artesians of the Maison to go through fifty separate steps and seven weeks of production time... as for their Hollywood connection, Borsalinos were atop the heads of both Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman during the legendary final scene of "Casablanca" ... I feel the same way about animals that most do, but I want you to know this vintage hat is most likely made from beaver felt. They used this at the time because of its natural water resistant qualities... colors in photos vary depending on the lighting... very clean with no stains, holes or tears... all items sold from a smoke and pet free home.
