Vintage silk jersey blue patterned dress by Bessi. Long sleeve. Contrasting trim at sleeve and dress hem. Straight fit. Dolman sleeves. Zip back with hook and eye closure. Pit to pit measures 24.5" Shoulder to hem measures 42" Very good condition. Made in Italy Founded in 1950 by Averardo Bessi, an Italian tailor, the label grew quickly and by 1959 was being exported to be sold in the US. In 1966 Bessi introduced his famously printed fabric with his original designs that were reminiscent of Emilio Pucci, one of his contemporaries. All of his printed pieces contain his signature and he had a very loyal following among European and American women. His pieces are collectible and very wearable.
