Vintage from the 1970s Materials: porcelain About this item This delightful set of vintage Japanese rice pattern tea services exemplifies the art of tea. The blue and white combination gives this teapot and three cups a clean and soothing look. My favorite part of this 5 piece set ( pot, lid, and three cups) is the translucent pattern. Both tea cups as well as the teapot have that beautiful translucent rice pattern that shows the light through. What a beautiful way to serve tea. The teapot has a heavy lid, which sets flush to the teapot. The beautiful blue and white teapot measures 8" spout to handle. It is 3.75 in high. The top opening of the teapot is 3 in diameter, and the base of the teapot is 3.5 in in diameter. The spout of the teapot is stained. The three teacups have no handles. They measure 2.25" high. These beautiful teacups measure 2.75" diameters across the top rim. They are 1.25" in diameter on the base. I see no chips or cracks in either the beautiful teacups or teapot. All measurements are appropriate. Made in China.
